My dealer always seems to have a Fatboy FLSTF, the original chrome version, at the beginning of the season.
I bought mine last August and there is no other bike I would rather have. Love the iconic Fatboy wheels and logo, and the bike rides terrific. Very well-balanced and the engine has all the guts you could ask for.
And yes, the bike turns heads. I get a lot of "thumbs up" at stop lights.
i'm only 6'1 Scott, you'd be surprised, they're not that high.
Well Dan, I am vertically challenged at 5'5". Apes are out of the question, so are forward controls. I was looking at the Breakout, but I could not properly reach the forward controls. Glad it did not work out, I love my Lo!

Im only 5'7" and this is my bike with 16" Apes and I have no problem with reach, they are the most comfortable bars i've had. Im in the same boat as though with forward controls my legs just arent long enough for them to work for me.
I had mini apes on my Street Bob, killed my shoulders. 8 hrs through the mountains damn near killed me. Exchanged them for pull back drag bars, could not have been happier with the change. Put my feet up and kick back. That 8 hr ride was a joy after the change.
I really don't mind the stock Lo bars. Seem comfortable so far.
