Sweet! I will do that. A nice big fat tire makes my butt look smaller.

Hmm.. I think we'd need to see a side by side comparison just to verify.

I was looking at the little gap between the edge of the tire and my pulley and belt. It looks like only about 1/8". Is yours like that as well?

The rear tire arrived today as expected....date code 1915, not as fresh as the front, but still less than a year!!.... I also ordered lowering kits. The 21" wheel/tire will raise the front 1" so I'm gonna use a Progressive springs/lowering kit and drop it 2" making it 1" less then it sits now stock. For the rear I ordered Dead Creek Cycles Softail Lowering kit and will drop it 1 1/2". I figure I'll give it a try, knowing I can always upgrade later (422s or Legend air-ride) if I hate it. I'm not putting any swingarm or tool bags on this bike so most rides will be on the shorter side, more around town cruzin, so I'll see how it goes.....I pulled the brake calipers today, plan to switch all the guts over to the new chrome Ness housings tomorrow, then re-install with the chrome hardware....

The stock set up has a little more space, but you can always have a pulley spacer put in to move the pulley/belt out a little more from the tire, if your custom set up needs it. Very easy, your tire guy can do it....I'll be using a 5/16" spacer with the new pulley that's coming, which should be just right for the 260 tire...

Thanks! That's good to know. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it works.
