Rocker B, I dig what you've done with your Rocker C. I have the exact same base model/year/paint scheme and noticed the license plate frame setup that you had on the original stock fender. I love how it was laid down along close to and followed the curve of the fender. My stock bracket stands straight up and I don't really like it. I would love to side mount on a foldaway but can't as I have the quick disconnect saddlebag setup with hard mounted chrome brackets that mirror the swing-arm. To make what is turning into a long story shorter by getting to the point, I would be very interested in knowing where you got that bracket setup and/or buying yours if you'd like to sell.
Thanks man and welcome!! It's a Harley part #67900007. Here's a link: http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...CatEntryType=2... Not sure where mine is, I took it off the fender at my indys shop and think I left it there. I'll go by and take a look, if I can find it, I'll sell it...I'll let you know.
Ya, might be a good idea, especially with that salty air....How you like'n it over there??? How's the riding?? I'm gonna be there in May, maybe I'll see ya cruz'n around!!
I'll be here brother, riding everyday, even if it is just to work on some days... The scenery is great, there are some good roads, beautiful weather, good people.... Nice enjoy your trip, and hit me up if ya have time, we can grab a beer or something.
The tank trim insert came in Tue...but I waited until today to drop it off for paint. I only have a little paint left, not enough for much trial and error to get the match right, and Mike, the guy that painted the other parts was off yesterday. He nailed the match with the fenders and chin spoiler, so I wanted him to paint the trim insert...He said it'll be done tomorrow!!
I picked up the tank trim insert today, and it looks great!! I was planning on just popping off the current one and sticking the new one on, but for some reason the painter pealed the protective covering off the adhesive on the back, so it had lost it's stick. I used some Gorilla glue, but needed something to hold the trim down to the curved shape of the console/tank without screwing up the fresh paint, so I taped down a couple of my dogs mini tennis ***** to hold it in place. It needs an hour or two to set up, so I'll post a few pics of the completed "Deuce/Rocker Hybrid Dash" tomorrow!!!
Here's Indy, he was nice enough to let me use his tennis ***** today....
Here's some pics with the painted insert installed. I'm super happy with the way it came out!!! I think it really dressed up the tank console, and will definitely cut down on the glare..... It's one of the least expensive mods I've done, but also one of my favorites!!! It seems to make the tank appear longer, more stretched out....
Here's the stock console, and the Deuce console before, and after I ROCKERIZED it!! ....
