Rejuvination.
I like the Deuce, but am not impressed with the ride quality, and the weight seems to be up high for my riding position. I've become comfortable with the forward controls, but they will never be my first choice in riding style.
Other than the 2into1 V&H pipes, everything on the bike is original stock components. The cam tensioners remain untouched original, as do the rear brakes, shocks, fork springs.
Here are the items I'm considering replacing, but I don't have a clue as to dealer installed pricing.
1. Rear Shocks and front fork springs.
2. Gear drive for the cams
If I had a ball park $ before I go to the dealer it might influence me on what I should do.
If there are other components that at 15 yrs old should be replaced I'd appreciate a heads up.
Final question would be do you think the suspension updating would improve the ride quality? Its a smooth ride at speeds to about 60, I couldn't see myself on the interstate for a couple of hours. Thanks in advance.
