I wanna say heritage rear fenders have a stamped inlay in the metal for the rear tail light mount. where the deluxe does not. So body else might chime in with more info .
They will mount to each other's frame . However, the tail lights of the fender you chose will need to be ran with it.

Correct. Additionally, the Deluxe has a square mounting block for the tombstone taillight and two square indentations under the taillight where the turn signal bar mounts and two additional holes that the signal wires go through. HTH.
It has been a while, but I think he has a Springer rear fender mounted with late model (2006 or so)? Heritage or Deluxe struts.
@ 2005 or so? Harley got rid of the welded to frame struts, and made the the steel under the chrome (black painted in this photo) struts bolt on as well.

You can mount the Deluxe turn signals to a Springer fender even though the Springer fender doesn't have the built-in indentations. Hspring03 has the deluxe turn signals on his 03 Springer and it fits fine.
I think these fenders are pretty interchangeable except that the tombstone taillight like the springer and deluxe have needs a fender made for it. Of course, with some metal fab you can fix this as well.
As I think about it, I think Kuryakyn makes a tombstone taillight with an adaptor to the standard tail light mount.

This is good information. The whole thread is, really.
