what do i do? She rides with me all the time, and now she wants to drive my 16000$ 06 night train!!! wow...i would love to let her, but man, i think of these damages that could happen and it scares me.... im sure some of you have been in this situation....i would love for her to fall in love and want her own, solo riding is better. but i dont want my baby to get hurt. she says shell just drive it in the yard but if she drops it in the yard, there will still be damage. i thought i could ride passenger but i couldnt reach my apes if on the back....what did/would you guys do????
You don't say whether she's already a licenced rider or not, but I'm guessing no. Explain that you'd LOVE for her to take a run on your Train, but you care about her too much to let her risk her life on such a powerful machine as a beginner. If she's truly interested in riding, sign her up in a local motorcycle safety course. Let's her get the itch to ride out of her system, allows her to do it on someone else's bike AND with the added bonus of making you look totally supportive of her goal to ride, without putting your bike (or her) at risk. WIN/WIN. If she is already a licenced rider, then I'm fresh out of ideas.
i have no small bike for her to drive....my two buddys with sportsters would never let her!!... but yes, that is why i have full coverage....but then im lookin at down time...... and have my girlfriend see me cry for the first time.....
I love riding solo with my wife. It's one of my favorite things to do with her. We took the motorcycle safety course together when she expressed interest. Now she has her own bike.
