Yessir. I live out of Alexandria. About an hr north of Alexandria. Thanks for the words brother. She ain't near bout done lol. Where you from?
I live right outside of Baton Rouge in Prairieville. Working on a Softail Slim right now and just started adding brass to mine. Speed dealer pegs and shifter to be exact.
Lol yea man, I thought about running their grips too. I believe they have what I need for the Exile throttle I have. The knurling on the handle is pretty rough, slippin shouldn't be an issue. I'd like to see the pegs installed
Sorry if this has already been discussed here but can you just paint over chrome? I'm thinking about painting my trees black but I'm afraid the paint will not stick.

I don't wanna lie to you man but I've read several posts all over about it, if I can remember some of it. If I'm not mistaken you can but, there is a lot of prep involved. The guys I've seen do it either knocked the chrome off or scuffed it up pretty good and cleaned the **** out of it. I believe there are products to allow better adhesion also. My trees are Accutronix, solid billet, so I'm not sure the steps my PC guy went through to coat them. Do a Google search and something will come up
Yeah it's more just the prep work before hand. As Hellbilly said you need to give them a good scuff/sand all off to give the paint something to bite into or it will scratch off easily because the surface of chrome is so smooth. Though saying that if the chrome is peeling, or starts whenthe paint is over it then obviously the paints going with it. If the chromes in good condition then this shouldn't be something you have to worry about

So what's it cost to get your trees powder coated, $40 - $60 bucks?

Much better than those stock floorboards I couldn't wait to get rid of them. It's much more comfortable now. And more ground clearance. I plan on drilling and powdercoating the forwards black.
