Hell yea! Looks good man. I dig it. Drilling and PCin' them would be ****. My controls are PC'd an aged brass color so hopefully when the brass patinas a bit they will match a little better with the pegs. Lookin' good so far man.
As Ink said, I'd tear apart anything I wanted PC and do it all at once. It is in fact cheaper. I did my trees, bars, legs, open belt/starter cover, headlight and a bunch of other stuff and ol boy only charged me like $200 I think. Get it done lol plus when you see the transformation full blown instead of a piece every now and then it really feels like a new bike.
Small steps forward. Was undecided on painting my shifter. Humidity is serious in Louisiana and it would have rusted over. Hindsight says I'm not sure lol. Painted black and sanded edges of the twist. Should have painted it the hammered brass and then sanded the edges to let the brass shine through the black. It's kool for now
Just flipped thru this thread and gotta say awesome looking bike so far. Can't wait to see it done. Also nice to see a custom bike in central to north la. Just not enough around here.

Yea I plan on dropping my front end in a few weeks and bringing a bunch of stuff to PC at the same time. Probably some car parts too. I have been picking up some brass acorn nuts to swap out some of the random chrome ones just to have the brass uniform throughout the bike but not overkill.

Thanks man. I've done a few custom things but I'm ready to do the tank swap and custom rear fender. That will really set it apart. Not much other than bolt ons around that I know of...a few old shovels and a pan now and then.

I've used what little brass hardware I could find. Like you said acorn nuts go good here and there and I've used brass wing nuts on my license plate bracket, looks good against the black. I was given these eye bolts from a buddy, he said they came off of lights on an old ship or something. I used 1 to run my brake line through, thought it looked pretty kool
Sorry brothers...been in Tennessee for a week on vacation. Unfortunately, the wife and family threw a fit over me wanting to ride it 900 miles 1 way after having it back together lol.
Anyway, when I get back I have to drain a bit of oil (ended up a bit over full.) Bleed rear brake, and double check/re torque a few things and she will be ready. Can't hardly wait.
