Well...been over 2 years. The bike looks totally different now. Ended up finally getting to chop the *** end up. Cut the frame horns and did some surgery to make it look like they were never there. Led Sled rear fender shortened...a lot. Red Tail Leather seat. Added tig welding to my skill set and made fender struts and bottom of seat bracket out of stainless round stock. Ditching the stock gas tank soon for a sporty tank. Will be a while till I can do the EFI to carb swap. Will have to address the harness and ignition relocation. Foot clutch is fully dialed in. Idk...I've missed a lot. I dont keep up with pics and stuff so...oh yea! Gonna cut the square tube gusset out of the neck also to get that stretched downtube look I been after for so long. Came a long way...long way to go. Hopefully it wont be 2 years before I throw something else up lol. Anyway, I'm sure its forgotten about but here she sits.

Thanks Splatttt! Been a while man! The tank is just sitting there to get an idea of how she's gonna look but I like it. Undecided on the sporty tank and the Indian Larry but once its carbed I'll have both lol. What you riding nowadays??

Thanks for the kudos brother!
Purchased the pipe kit from a member here. Wish I could remember who. Great people. But then again, 99.99.9999% of the members here are
Kit was new and fits better than OEM
Installs it self LOL Made in Austria by BSL and called the long John bobber
Really an amazing products.
The xbones is exactly as my Slim minus a few cubic inches in the motor. Still with the right tune and a revised final drive gear ratio swap from a 30t front and 70t rear pulleys, it rips!, while still looking old and slow. A true sleeper LOL

Lol that's what it's all about! Good ppl and good times. I really like that pipe, looks good on your bike. I've actually talked to a buddy of mine about helping me fab a pipe that'll look like the old school stock pipes on the Knuckle-Pan. That 2-1 look just screams old school. Meanwhile, you have idiots like me that have an $800 stainless exhaust that's basically an expensive straight pipe bc I like stuff loud lol. Idk if they make mine anymore but its the Vance and Hines Indy Outlaw 2-1 in stainless. It weighs NOTHING LOL. Your exhaust is so killer though for real. Good looking bikes. Been trying to find a Springer from an XBones but ppl are proud of them. I really like Mid USA I believe? They have a repo that looks identical to the knuckle springer. Not sure about ripping like I do with one on these Louisiana roads

Believe me when I tell you that the springer fork on the wife’s bike is a millin times better at minimizing impact deflection and with what is known as walloing in long fast sweepers.
Bike rides like its on rails.
The springer is slightly longer than the stock fork on my Slim. Which adds a bit more rake and positions the frame so the front of the frame ends up about 1.5 higher than on my Slim. This allows for 1; better ground clearence. 2; a less gittery straight line manuverability. And while most may think this adds to a slower turning reaction, it does not. Mostly because there is less fromt end dive in turns compared to my bike.
I admit my fork is due for nee oil. Maybe springs are tired to. But in comparison to Kristy’s bike, it sucks!
Conclusion, if set up right. A springer kicks *** in every aspect of riding styles. But we crise on these bikes. We stopped slamming apexes a long time ago
