Been a while since I updated. No good pics to throw up really. Got her fired back off. Finally got the headlight installed, removed the shift linkage setup to start work on the foot clutch and jockey shift. Hopefully my idea for the jockey arm will turn out like I want. Not going to be able to do the rear fender, seat, tank and leaf and all that just yet but she will get there. Her smiling face as of now
Well...worked on my jockey shift arm all night. Threaded a piece of 3/8" solid round stock down to 3/8", welded a handle on the end and put her in the vice to do the ol' Indian Larry twist. Needless to say, must be a reason he used square and not round. It just twisted and twisted until it pretty much added to the thickness, very dissapointing. So, tomorrow I will pick up a piece of square and try again. I think it will look sick with the brass handle.
Yessir, I think the shifter would be kool. I haven't put the fender on yet bc I have to repaint my sprocket brake and put my chain on. I was really hoping to get a fender rigid mounted but I can't afford to buy the smaller battery to hide the ECM right now lol. I guess that'll be later when I can afford the tank on top of all that. Just trying to get her on the road for now. Oh well
Bro! Your ECM will fit down where your splash guard goes and you can even use the stock ECM mounting plate by making a few modifications to it to mount to factory mounting points down there. There's just, and I mean just enough length in the wiring to reach. You no longer needs the splash gaurd as the new fender will protect it.
I literally just screen shot these from a bad quality video so the pic quality is a bit crap, but here's what happened to your old headlight. Had the royal flush hand of cards done on top. Figured with the amount of cool stuff going into this bike it kinda fit the description
Yea man I had thought of that when I saw you relocate it down there. Only thing I was worried about is I saw on another thread where a few guys were worried about the rain or whatever getting to it and messing it up. But hell, it had to have gotten wet before so lol. I'll check it out. Looking at Led Sled for the fender.
Dude, that light is insane! I never would have envisioned it to look that good lol. I'm serious as a heart attack...I cannot wait to see more on the new bike. We have a lot of the same style and influence but you have gone to a whole new level brother. Insane
