Default picking her up this weekend!

well, the time has come.. this Saturday I will be picking up my new Breakout w/cobra swept exhaust and fuelpak3 tuner. Was originally going with V&H exhaust but they were on backorder for a few weeks and the similar styled cobras comes with a lifetime warranty on chrome so i went with them.. looks the same and sounds amazing. My dealer called today to say I needed to come in with my downloaded iphone app so I can tune the bike before taking her. Now, I have tuned many bikes in the past, and have even built my own custom maps, but have never used this particular tuner. It looks super easy from the youtube videos and the app is very user friendly. question is do I just use the autotune feature and run it as is or do you recommend me loading a particular map for this setup? I noticed it didn't have one for the cobra exhaust. I will check to see if other maps are available for download. Otherwise I will just select autotune and ride it as is and hope it will figure itself out.

question is how long before it figures itself out? what is the normal ride cycle? is it 100 miles or a 1000 miles? any idea on how long the autotune will take before it settles into a comfortable map?

I want to give it enough time to resolve itself before tinkering with it manually. (which i'm also itching to do...)

thoughts?

obviously, I will post guides and results on this forum to help educate others the moment I figure it out.

Congrats man! Can't wait to see pics.

I haven't tried the autotune on my FP3. There was a canned map for my exhaust, so I just used that. There is quite a bit of decel popping, so I'm not sure how great the map is. Vance and Hines says to run a full tank of gas through the bike while it's learning. Just make sure to run the bike in different conditions (highway, heavy accel, stop light to stop light). That's what they recommend, at least.

Is the exhaust slipons or a full header. Either way I'd just auto tune it.
