Gas tank question

Default Gas tank question
Ok so this morning I filled my 15 Lo with gas, drove to work and parked it for the day At three when getting ready to leave for the day, I come out to my bike with gas dripping under it roughly directly below the seat.. Now I know that it was like 90 degrees here today and it was a full tank so it built pressure up from the heat. is there a way to solve this problem?

Sounds to me like you filled it full and it got hot and vented (drained) through the vent tube. I bet if you don't fill it as full next time, you don't have the same problem.

I had it full thats for sure, I will not fill it so much next time and see what happens, but really Harley my sport bike has never done that and it sits right next to it during the day.

What Beric said. Gas expands with heat. Park in the shade or don't top it.

Yup no mystery here. I can think of two sport bikes I had that did the same if completely topped up. it's nothing HD-specific.
