Default Which 14" for 2014 Slim

I have always liked the look of apes but never thought i would get a set because I am unfamiliar with how they feel.

Too me the 12" that HD sells look too short but the I am wondering about the 16" being too high for me. I am only 5'8"
A big reason I

like the look of the 16" is because the boom speaker fits on there pretty nice.

Too me the boom speakers do not look good on the stock Slim handlebars

Any way been surfing 14" apes and there seems to be so many styles as far as how wide the base the reach back etc.

Looks like the base should not be too wide for the Slim but not sure, i guess fork width is good?

If anyone is has a 14" brand/ model they are really happy with i would love to see some pics. Plug in wiring and cable extend recommendation good too.

I will be chopping at the bit to do this the day after i get back! Woo hoo!

Thanks.

Carlini pist apes and their hot slot risers, lil pricey tho. Find something comparable if you're on a budget. I'm 5'8 and they're perfect for me. You must think width at your height, don't need no 40 inch width.
One thing I will add, if you're shoulder weak, stay with what you have.
