a car tire. but i think you are looking for a more normal response, take a look at touring tires that are made for the bigger bikes. there are plenty of threads on the subject and can easily be found with a search on here on on "the google"
i like the balance between mileage and grip on the dunlop elite 3... i ride that one now and it has been great.

There are a number of variables that can effect the life of a tire and I'm sure that you will get many answers to your question based on the personal experiences of others. That being said, based on the little over 96k miles that I have put on my 05 Springer and how I ride, I've gotten the best mileage out of the Michelin Commander 2's. My last rear went 21k and because of the success that I've had, I'm on my 2nd set of MC2"s. Before that, I had some Avon Venoms and I got around 15k on that rear tire. Good luck on finding the right tire for you.
