I bought a HD 59805-05 quick release windshield for my 07 FXSTC about a year ago from Motor City Harley Davidson in MI. They gave a discount that more than covered the shipping. They are in MI and I'm in Cleveland. It was delivered the next day.
The widnshield really makes cold weather riding much better. It looks good too (as good as a windshield can look). I'd post a picture here, but I haven't had any luck with posting pictures on this forum yet. If you give me your email address, I'll be glad to send some photos so you'll see what it will look like.
Install was easy. The instructions said to move the cables and the under the handlebar turn signals. The cables were aready where they were supposed to be and the turn signals didn't need moving.
The windshield comes off easily with no tools and no hardware left behind. Problem is, of course, a lowdown thief could get it off quickly too.
Im also looking for a windshield for my FXSTC i was looking at this one in particular or maybe the low profile version how is the height, im 5' 11" and is there any adjustment. If you could send me some pics i would appreciate it. j.afield@btopenworld.com
Thanks! that windshield looks very good, I think i need to start saving some money again. By the way i could make out something on your handlebar next to the left mirror im justwondering what it is?
