If you like them, good fro you, that's what counts. As far as the market, Harley has had several models that are less than SPECIAL. The stretched tank was thought to be a big deal, but that back end - WELL.
If you really want to flip it, throw it on ebay and set a minimum, now is prime riding season, you should be able to sell it in a heartbeat. You can also post it in the FS section of this forum and I'm sure people will take it off your hands for the right price.
When I looked last year, I could not anything under $8500 by me, most wanted $10k+ with 10k mls or more. There were couple for a hair under $8k but had no service records and the sellers did not want to part with them.
This is not a popular model, so it stands out amount the crowds of HD's, I often get complements on it, even the local HD dealer was shocked that it not no recalls on it when I took it in for maintenance.
The first time I saw a Duece,I actually thought it was a Jap bike-as I saw it from the rear.So I think it's just that weird rear fender,as everyone else has said...maybe you could do some research into swapping fenders to something a little more 'fatboyish'?

The unique style of the Deuce finally won me over although I am not a big fan of the rear fender either. When I go to a bike function I like having a bike that's different than most bikes there.

Honestly, remove that big piece of plastic holding on the license plate and lower it so it doesn't look like a dirt bike, it makes a world of difference.
