oil light

07 heritage. myfirst harley. bought it 5-18friday. used 5800 miles. no manual. after my first fill-up today when turning ignition on the " red oil can " light next to the neutural light came on. it goes off after i start the bike but continues to come on prior to hitting the start button. it's sunday so i can't call the dealer. do i have a problem?

When the engine is not running there is no oil pressure, so the light comes on. No problem there. If the light failed to come on before starting, then you would have a problem.

Don't sweat it, you wouldn't be the first guy to loose it.

BTW It will go on again if theengine stops for any reason while the ignition switch is still on.
