Haha Gordon. Dude, I would never again put a DNA springer on a big twin.

But... it might just work on a sporty!

Hey do you ever get out to this part of the country dude? I know Wa state is a long way from Georgia!
Buddy of mine's son just started his first year playing QB for the Bulldogs down there.

Is that Jason Easton Pat? Supposed to be pretty good. I'm a Seminoles diehard.
That springer works on a 400 lb bike just fine. Rode a couple hard tail Sporty's and you would be surprised how good they are. Just not made for a 700lb bike.
We're talking about renting a motor home two years from now and taking a month out that way,so you never know. They keep me working out of town so time is limited for projects.
As far as the springer ride the Bad Boy sees about 90% of my riding time anymore. Love the ride.

Nope...the wheel on an FX springer is no where close to the center of the forks...I have heard several "theories" on why they did that...and they all sounded like BS to me...doesn't affect the handling as best I can tell.

There are aftermarket springers that are good quality...like paughco...but they cost about as much as the real thing.
The "asking" price for springer front ends had gone crazy since they quit making them...but only the asking price...if you look on ebay at sold listings...the only ones that actually sell are in the $1700 to $2500 range..depending on how complete they are.
