More powder coating, new tires, new bars & new mirrors.
I had the fender rails, taillights, risers, clamps and speedo housing powder coated gloss black. Then I had an Avon Cobra 120 installed on the front and an Avon Cobra 250 on the rear.
I'll have some pics of everything later in the week or by the weekend.
Here's some of my progress on the handlebars. I'm about 2/3 finished. Riding position is going to be a lot better but I believe I'll be going with some shorter risers that have zero pullback.
I finished up the bars with the exception of the bar-end mirrors. Will finish those this weekend. Also I believe I'm going to go with a shorter riser with zero pullback. The stock risers are a bit too much.
Will post pics this weekend.
I promised pics and here they are.
I need to find some other bar-end mirrors. The ends on the ones I have won't expand enough to secure inside the bars so I purchased some Tribals from HD.
I ordered some shorter risers so I can get away from the stock ones. They have a bit toomuch pullback and are a bit too tall.
Looking good!! I agree about shorter risers looking better... Just curious, you say the current risers have too much pull back, but you have your bars rolled back quite a bit now. If the new risers have less pull back, are you going to need to roll the bars back even more? and do you want/like that look?? If the bars were rolled forward more, you wouldn't need raisers with less pull back, just shorter ones....and I think it would look even better, just something to consider.

Yesterday I pivoted the bars forward a bit to see how they will feel and they were great. The new risers wil have zero pullback and only 1-1/2" tall. That's moving the bars forward about 1-1/2" and lowering them about 2-1/2".
Not a real drastic change but enough to be even more comfortable than they are now. it'll also look a lot better than tall bars perched on top of tall risers.
