Default Carlini Design Bars

I have seen some nice looking bars from Carlini. Because of the high cost in changing out the stock bars for my 07 Fatboy, I am going to beat this subject to death. My request from the group is your collective .02 on which Carlini 1 1/2 incch bar (talking T-bars here) is best for a Fatboy (i.e., clean sweep, original, super sweep). What is a good riser size as well?

Thanks as always,
Brent.

I have Clean Sweeps on my bike. I like them, but my only complaint is that at certain RPMs they vibrate so much that my mirrors go all fuzzy.

Take a look at MyRide's Fatboy. He's running Carlinis on his and it looks really good. I have a set on my Deuce and love the look. DickGrayson is right, though. At higher RPMs you do start to lose some visibility in the mirrors. But you can still tell if there is something behind you. So it's really not that big of a deal (to me anyway).

If you are going with the super sweeps you will need to go with the 9" rise to clear the tank panel.
I didn't get excess vibration on mine. I assume you guys replaced the stock rubber handlebar bushings with polyurethane ?

I had Carlini 1.5" Clean Sweeps on before I went to the "street bars" and eventually the "freeway bars". Only bar I have used in 15 yrs.

My Clean Sweeps were 9" rise with a 7" pullback. I never had a problem with vibration I just changed them because of the type of riding I was doing. Started going on longer and longer road trips and the reach with the drag bars just got to be to much on the elbows.

Check out my gallery I still have the pics up with the clean sweeps.

Loader is correct in that if you go with the "super sweeps" you'll need the 9" rise to clear the tank panel.

Thanks guys, that was the info. I am looking for. Loader, did you change to the new polyurethene bushings? Does that stop the vibration?

I have the carlini clean sweeps. I love em' I get alot of comments. At first before i did any other changes, no one like em, now they see what i saw back then. I opted for the Freeway bars and if i hadda saw TM's bike I would have gotten those. But I am Happy with my choice.

Hi, yes - The polys are more rigid and give better support for the radical bars -
Going for them?
