Default Fat Boy S Headlight Help

A friend said that my Fat Boy S headlight is not very bright during the day time. I had a Custom Dynamics LED headlight installed but it was useless on brights in the dark and had a very limited radius for visibility so I returned it. It was worse than the stock light on roads with no streetlights.

Any suggestions for something better or should I go with 3 lights like on the Heritage? Edit, I just realized I would have to change out my windshield if I got the auxiliary lights.

Bang for the buck, Truck Lite is the best value. I am running them on my old Heritage.

If you got money burning a hole in your pocket, JWSpeaker has a new adaptive LED headlight that illuminates different areas as it senses the bike leaning. While very innovative and works great, it is damn near $800.

Get the Truck Lites from www.drivetrainamerica.com

You are going to want to buy a frenched trim ring from HD because it pokes out a little and looks funky otherwise.

I will post pictures of my setup later on tonight when I get home. I have the three truck Lites with frenched trim rings.

One thing though is in the day time at certain angles, other people might think your headlight is turned off. At night it is fantastic.

I take it back. I have pictures of it in my photo album if you look at my profile.

I forgot to mention that the LED headlights are more sensitive to being aimed correctly. If you raise or lower the rear of your bike for example, that will have a drastic effect on the aim. The best thing to do is to load your bike up with your normal gear / setup and adjust the aim while sitting on the bike. The procedure is pretty simple.

I have Truck Lites for my headlight and passing lamps. My turn signals, fender tips, and tail light are all circuit boards with connectors that plug into the existing sockets. They are made by Custom Dynamics and have improved my visibility immensely. Installation was a breeze. The tail light circuit board was about one third the price of the Bright *** Tail Light that everybody brags about and it works great.

I go for bang for the buck instead of going the cheapest or most expensive for most things.

Check out jw speaker. Made in wisconsin and available through drag specialties or other places as well. I got mine through the dealership because I get a discount.

I also went with the JW Speaker LED headlight on my 13 Heritage and couldn't be happier. Lots of light on both beams. I highly recommend this brand.
