Default Finally, a LED headlight that I like

After doing research for a couple years after very disappointing installation of a Truck-Lite P7 on my 13 SG, I finally decided on a Vision X, Vortex LED headlight. Hated the price for the one advertised for motorcycle's of $419.00 and was not going to spend that much. Ended up buying a pair of them boxed for the Jeep people that lowers the price per each a fair amount. Figured I'd sell the one I didn't use to someone else at a savings too. All the research I did shows it to be the same headlight spec wise as the one sold for motorcycles. Got it installed yesterday with the adapter that allows the low beam to stay on with the high beam and tested it last night. WOW. A lot of usable light everywhere without the funny house mirror hot-spot reflections that the Truck-Lite had. Low beam has a great pattern and fills the entire road past the ditches with light. High beam really reaches out and nice smooth light pattern. The light is also more visible from wider angles during the day which was a definite plus. The halo also helps with daytime visibility more than I thought it would and matches the Custom Dynamics signal lights nicely. Overall, extremely satisfied.

The VisionX (aka Custom Dynamics Tru-Beam) headlight is arguably the best LED headlight out there. Their passing lights alone on my 'King are brighter than the stock headlight. For whatever reason, the passing lamps aren't on their website anymore. Clever buying the pair, I'd be interested in the extra if I didn't already have one!

Smart idea. So you're selling the 2nd headlight? I'm interested. PM me if you do with the price.
Thx.

I have the true beam (same thing) and love it at night. I had to adjust it up quite a bit but it lights up dark country roads like nothing else I have had. This street glide is the first bike I have owned that didn't have passing lamps. It throws more light than my king does.

I'm interested in doing something similar. Can you provide the Part # for the Vision X kit you purchased? Did the adapter come with the kit? thanks

The kit I bought was a XIL-7RDKITJKCB. Two headlights and 2 anti-flicker modules, don't have the module part #. I didn't need the module for my install. I bought the high/low adapter separately.

Do you have it set up where its just the Halo durring the day? If so where did you put the new switch (assuming you need a 3 way rocker for the 3 options [Halo, Halo/Low, and Halo/Low/High])

Like how its hooked up in this video:

I am very interested.
