Default 2006 Softail Deluxe

I am 6' 1" and 34" inseam...love the Deluxe but now having sat on one, it seems the seat's lowered ht along with the bike ht make seating position alittle cramped. Was told there is a "TallBoy" seat by Harley that might fix the problem...or would I be better off just settling for a Hertitage Classic and tricking it out with wide whitewalls and chrone....appreciate opinions on this. Thanks

I'll stay with my Heritage.

The Deluxe is "set up" for shorter riders. It has pullback risers that put the handlebars in your lap but I don't think the floorboard position is any different than the heritage or fatboy. I could be wrong on that but it seems the same to me. The factory seat puts you right up on the tank as well so changing it is also a must. I say get what you like the looks of the most. A heritage and fatboy are the same frame and front end as a Deluxe and you can make it work. Having said that, I'm 6'1" and I think I have mine set up to fit just fine.

I agree with Whip. The Deluxe is a bit cramped due to the pullbacks and the seat. You can fix that with $500.00. They do make a tallboy seat that makes a HUGE difference by lifting you and pushing you back, but that particullar seat is ugly as hell. My advice is to test ride or rent all the ones ure in to.

Post the pics when ure done shopping please.
