Default FXSTSB - Some wiring help

Howdy yall - been a good minute since I've been around here.

I picked up one of them Softail Bad Boys from the mid 90s (I think they only ran from 95-97) a couple months ago. She was in pretty good shape, lowish miles for a 20 y/o bike.

I wasn't a huge fan of a lot of the work done over the years, so after mulling over it a week or two, I started a pretty major overhaul on pretty much the whole thing.

When I got to replacing the bars - I found the old wiring was in terrible shape. A lot had just been chopped off and taped up so I decided to start fresh with a nice new wiring harness - I was replacing everything up top anyway. Found one on eBay with factory matching wire colors and it's really 90% there. But I've got some issues with my rear blinkers. Decided not to clutter up that pretty frontend with front blinkers so it's only the rear.

I've attached some pics of the current situation - which I just crudely twisted together for testing before I pretty all that up. Headlight Hi/Lo works fine, On/Off works fine, starter works fine, most on the dash works fine (N, On, Hi-Beams, Left arrow), tail lamp lights up, brightens for front and rear brakes. The problem is ... when I switch on from the dash switch; only the right side tail lamp lights up. When I hight the right blinker - nothing happens at all. However, if I hit the left blinker - it blinks and the left arrow on the dash comes on.

I've read a bit that this is a fairly common wiring mistake but I couldn't find much direction of where to go. Everything from my new harness to the guides I kept from the old are lined up - but I've got a couple wires left hanging free that I'm pretty sure are the colors for the rear blinkers.

So I was hoping one of you kind fellas could point me in the right direction as to what I've screwed up. Pics attached show current state on left and right as well as the couple strays hanging.

Thanks for any help!

looks good in both versions! On my 99 Fatboy when a turn signal bulb burns out that side won't blink, just stay on constant. also you may get more replies in the EVO section.

What is on the front wheel in the red version?

Thanks man! The blinkers are brand new but I can double check my rear wiring - which I did finish - to make sure I don't have a cold solder. Also I'll cross-post into the EVO section. Thanks for that.

If ya mean the silver thing that looks like it's poking out the front wheel - just a random tool on the ground. I think it's the little flat head screwdriver I used to get the throttle cables back in.
