Did you have to do anythig else when you installed these pipes? I'm assuming the 14 and 15 engins are nearly identicle.

You will lose a little bit of low end torque when going from stock to true duals, but it is easily made up, PLUS some, by installing some Thunder Torque Inserts in them.

If you do not already have a free flowing air cleaner and a tuner, then you will get even more benefit (power-wise) out of the True Duals. However, it is not necessary to do that, you can just install the True Duals and you will be ok with a stock air cleaner and tune.

I would say it was just a little torque. It was so slight that I had to really think about it after I went from slip ons to true duals.

Samson. You can get them in different lengths, with or without baffles, or removable or non, fishtail tips. Mine are 39" with removable baffles, and tips. They come with all chrome and stainless mounting hardware, including new shifter linkage.

Love looks of my Sampson True Duals! I have 28.5s baffled. Did not install torque cones. My mistress has stage one, SERT tuner. Was dyno'd with stock headers and 2 inch Rush slip-ons at 74.9 horses. I had the Sampsons put on and re-dyno'd, took them 3 times to nurse her up to 64 horses. I can tell the difference, don't know if the cones would bring the 10 hp back but don't care. I'm not a hot rod, still has plenty of git up and go but the looks of the pipes rock!!

Mike, welcome to the forum from central Texas.

With the Samson true duals, the OEM (straight) shifter rod would interfere with the rear cylinder crossover pipe so Samson includes an angled shifter rod to avoid that. I also have the Samson rod.

Samson's shifter rod looks like this

Here's a close up of it on my bike. Just underneath the rear pipe I have a small piece of rubber hose over the shifter rod to keep it from hitting the inner primary. The rubber hose is sitting right on the angle of the shifter rod. You can see if the shifter rod was straight it would hit the pipe.
