I wear a FF almost all the time. The Bell Bullit doesnt obstruct my peripherals as all. The ends of the helmet are at my extremes. For me, its worth it. I dont want to be a cost or burden to anyone.
If someone else wants to wear a half helmet, novelty, or none at all-thats on them. I dont agree with helmet laws, like I dont agree with seatbelt laws. I wear both because I am concerned about ME. NOT because the govt tells me I should.

My go-to helmet is a Shoei Gt-Air. Last week, I bought a Bell Pit Boss and took 1 ride with it, came home and put it back in the box. I loved the visibility I had with it, it didn't buffet at speed w/o a windshield but I couldn't get past the fact my eyes watered really bad, (I wear prescription glasses so I was wearing them and using the built-in face shield) and I felt like I was being sandblasted going down the road...
I really dont get the look thing. As if the type of helmet a person wears depends on if they ride a Harley or a Ducati?
i wear a FF Bell. I love my RG and Im proud to be seen on it. Ok I wont ride it down the highway wearing a clown suit but I really dont give a flying F what people think about my looks.
I wear 1/2 helmut BUT, am looking for a full face. The sun is too much especially when touring. and sunscreen doesn't help much. I am looking at the HD Pilot/Pivot helmut which looks really nice, though feels cheap.
Just ordered me a Bell Bullit and I have a Bell Rogue. The wife, 5 kids & 6 grand-kids plus the current state of cager driving skills are all the reasons I need.
Just like the rest of these replies say... just do you, do what's right for you.
