Hey there fellas! So i'm looking for air intake upgrade on my bike! I'm new to the thread for joining but i do constantly use these threads as a point of reference for various things. I have a 2005 softail fxsti with andrews cams, 95" inch motor upgrade, k&n filter upgrade, fuelpak vance and hines. I wanted some references as to what i can do for an intake upgrade? I also have vance and hines big radius exhaust with baffles removed(just for sound purposes).
All heavy breather intakes will provide more air than the engine can use at any one time. So, select any one that suits your fancy. In other words, choose the one you like the looks of the most.
If you already have a heavy breather with the K&N filter upgrade and are only changing the intake, you may not have to upload a new map or use autotune with the V&H fuelpak.
If you are going from a stock intake with a K&N filter to a heavy breather you WILL have to reflash the ECM or the bike will run more lean than it already does.
What's up fellas! I recently joined the community and have been pretty decently active these last couple days trying to get some input on a few things for my bike. I have 05 softail fxsti standard with 95" motor and cams and I have the VH big radius 2-2 exhaust and I want to put heat wraps n them and I read that there's a possibility of blowing your heads with them on? Because I'm tired of the stock looking pips and I want that rat rod kind of look and I wanted to know how bad are heat wraps for the exhaust and will it hurt my bike?

I've never heard of anyone "blowing your heads" from wrapping pipes.
Here is a link to a current thread about wrapping pipes.
