So I found a local 2015 Heritage Softail with 3,000 miles for 13k. It seems like a decent deal. It does have ABS, but does not have cruise control or security. Is it possible for Harley to install cruise control if I purchase this bike? I know they can do security. Any opinions on this would be very helpful. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and their families.
I'm pretty sure the 2015 Heritage did not have cruise as an option, and from what I've read on here, it's pretty expensive to add it.
For security, it may be as simple as swapping the turn signal control module, but I may be getting that mixed up with the street bob I had. I'm assuming you would have to have the dealer do something to program or match it to your bike.
In 2016 they changed the Heritage to throttle by wire and made cruise an option.
Cramp buster, paddle type throttle grips, etc. are affordable easy to add on options. It's not the same as cruise obviously but they do offer a vast improvement on longer rides for a fairly minimal cost.
Next year the Softails will probably have the M8 engine, so that might be something to think about.
