Some really kmowledgeable guys here! Im reviving my old '86 FXST...Evo, 5 spd, electric start....as a gift for my son (proud USAF Dad here). Wondering if the 86 has the sump plug also??? I'm changing out all the oil and fuel lines too and I'm concerned about dry startup after 5 yrs parked. Thought I'd remove spark plugs and spin her on the starter after I get all the lines changed and new filter/oil installed. Hoping the fast spin against no compression will prime the oil system all back up again so that when I twist her tail for good and put that fire in her heart she won't be bone dry. Is this a good plan guys?? Any other suggestions? I appreciate your responses and time!

You might squirt a little oil down each spark plug hole. Even with your priming procedure, it will take a little running before much oil reaches the pistons/cylinder walls.
