I just ordered the HD kit, more so for the stiffening / anti sag aspect, but figured I would order the lock set too.
I looked at the HD kit but the supports seem to prevent the top of the bag from expanding when stuffing things in.
The inside of the Heritage bags are bigger than the opening at the top.
I'm sure they'll work just fine and when you add the lock set they might be the better way to go.
I'm going to order at least the InertiaWRX tour pak lock for $60.
Haven't decided yet whether or not I care to lock my saddlebags especially given the $140 price tag.
For $65 the gotsaggybags lock kit is a consideration even though it uses padlocks which I'm not a fan of.
However since I rarely need to lock the bags anyway, perhaps it's the way to go.
I've thought about some locks,, but never bothered to get any..
I've also never had anyone bother my bags on any of my trips, but I never leave anything that was really important in them either..
I do have a pretty big overnight bag that goes on the rear rack that I can and do remove at night when traveling that I take into the Hotel room that I keep anything I wouldn't want to lose...

I hear you, I've never had anyone bother my bags either however I've often worried about it.
Many times we keep our riding jackets in the saddle bags along with our Joey Chairs.
The price of the lock kits are a lot less than the cost to replace them.
I think I'll suck it up and buy the entire Inertia WRX set.
I contacted Inertia and they stated they can key all three locks the same.
Well I found a fellow forum member with a new uninstalled gotsaggybags invisaloc system for $40 shipped.
I like the fact that there are no visible alterations to the bag.
One of the issues I have with the Inertia WRX saddle bag system is you have to drill 10 holes in the lid to install the top support piece and 5 for the lock which provides an opportunity to screw up the bag.
I'm also not a fan of the look of the 10 visible rivets in the top.
I don't think I really need to lock my saddle bags but for $40 it will be nice to have the option.
As for my tour pak, I'm ordering the Inertia WRX lock.
I'll have to drill the Tour Pak but I think it's my best option.
Once everything's installed I'll post my review of them.
BossBags put hidden locks on mine when they did the stiffener kit. They use small pad locks under the lid. Works fine and I use them anytime I'm staying somewhere with the bike outside.
I use the HD universal lock kit that you can order to match you bikes keys. I've never really worried about the stuff in my bags as the bags are detachable and worth twice what everything in the bag is worth. It is pretty obvious if someone is breaking in to a bag as compared to someone just walks up to a bike and opens the bags to take stuff out so I figure I want some kind of lock to prevent the bags from coming off and it deters thieves enough to make it obvious if they should be in my bags or not.
Papa Bags is in the process of offering a locking system I'm gonna wait & see what Rick comes up with & if the locking system is as good as his stiffner kit...? Ill prolly pick em up!
