Well I got the Gotsaggybags Invisaloc installed on my bags today.
Pretty simple install that took me about 1.5 hours and that was taking my time.

It's a simple system but does take a little bit of time to reach under the bag lid to put the little padlocks on but it's not that big of a deal.

I think it will be a good deterrent to anyone wanting to get into the bags.
For $65 not a bad deal.

I'll be ordering the Inertia WRX system for my tour pak later this week.
Looks like Dennis Kirk it the place to get it.

In all the years and miles I've been riding, I've only had my bags broken into once. That was at the local shopping mall. The bike was parked about 30 feet from the main entrance, and somebody went into my bags, passed up a $60 pair of leather gloves to steal a pair of dollar store sunglasses. Go figure.

I've never had a problem either but that's not a reason not to install locks.
I've never had my car broken into either but I wouldn't buy a car without locks.

I don't think locking saddle bags is that big of a need but there's really no good reason not to lock them.

Just an update.
I got my "gotsaggybags" locks on both saddlebags installed and got my Inertia WRX Tour Pak lock installed.

As mentioned earlier the gotsaggybags locks setup is pretty simple to install and is about as simple to operate as it could be.
It's for the most part just a hasp and padlock system.
For the money.....it's not bad if you just want a little security.

There are few other locking options out there that are likely better than the gotsaggybags lock system, but the setup even though simple does do the job.

The Inertia WRX Tour Pak lock is a little more involved to install and certainly leaves open the opportunity to f%$K $hit up.
There are no install videos available and I could find minimal pictures of the install.

The instructions were somewhat vague until you read it 4-5 times and finally figure out what they are talking about.
The "chicago screws" that came with the kit were too short for the lock assemble so I had to scrounge some longer screws up which wasn't a big deal but there's no reason why it shouldn't have come with correct screws.

Also, the instructions don't mention when closing the lid it's best to turn the lock to the unlock position.
The first time I closed the lid everything wasn't lined up and I bent the locking rod.
I was able to straighten it out and now that I know to leave the lock unlocked when closing the lid everything works fairly smoothly.

As far as I'm aware other than the HD tour pak lock system that's around $125 the Inertia system is the only other option for locking the leather tour pak.
And if you have the lid organizer like I do the HD system will not work.

Here's some pictures.

I wanted to post an update since it's been a couple of weeks since my install.

The Invisloc system I put on the saddlebags still works as it should.
Reaching under the lid flap to get the padlock on is a bit of a PITA however it's easily doable but it's just not close and lock.
I'm still pleased with what I got.

As for the Inertia WRX tour pak lock I'll have to say I wish I'd done something different.

After about a week I noticed the locking bar had bent.
I think this happened due to the tour pak is curved in the rear so the locking bar needs to be somewhat banana shaped to slide into the lock properly.
That being said I figured out that when I close the lid if I push in the top rear of the bottom part of the tour pak while pulling the lid closed it works well and the bar slides in the locking assembly easily.

The above though is not why I have second thoughts of going with this system.
Last week the damn lock wouldn't release the locking bar.

I ended up having to drill out the "Chicago screws" in order to get the lid open.
Fortunately this happened in my garage and not on the road because other than drilling out the screws there was no way I was getting into the tour pak.
At least I now know when locked the tour pak is certainly secure.

I think what happened is the locking bar bent the lock causing the bar to wedge itself in the lock.
Now that I know to push in on the bottom rear when closing the lid I don't think this will happen again.

That being said since the tour pak has to be modified for the lock assembly I'm kinda stuck with it.
I will say though that Inertia has been very communicative and is stated they are sending me a new assembly so even though I question their product, I don't question their customer service.
