I just purchased a 2017 heritage softail. Ive been looking around for a 21in 40 spoke wheel that i can get close to match the rear. I haven't had much luck on finding one. I see that DNA has a 40 spoke 21x2.15 but i wasn't sure about the width. I seen a lot of 60 spoke 21x3.50. any ideas?

I don't really think the number of spokes would matter, I have spokes on my Train but no idea if they are the same amount! You'll probably want to go with the wider wheel though, the skinny-minnies are not very popular right now. (You say you are not sure about width? You do know the 2.15 and 3.5 are the width in inches correct?)
A 60 spoke 21x3.5 wheel won't look out of place with a stock 40 spoke 16" rear wheel. The larger diameter wheel benefits from the extra spokes from an aesthetic view. I ran a 21x3.5 60 spoke wheel up front with the stock 40 spoke rear for a bit and nobody ever noticed they didn't match. I eventually did get a matching 60 spoke rear because I am **** and it bothered me. I would look at Ride Wright wheels as they are some of the best from a quality standpoint.
