I have V&H BSS and there is only an inch or two clearance and mines just fine. Mine actually stops under the middle of the bag and have had no problems. I dont let it idle while not moving for to long.
Plenty. I've had hard bags for a while now with BSS and now a propipe. Both are close and I've done 8 hour days with no issues having the bags full. No smoldering melting or anything else.
