Been without a bike for a couple of years and found a 2006 FXST with only 1600 miles on it. Brand new basically. I always ask for undercarriage pictures and saw a frame scrape. Those concern me, so I wanted to get your opinions of the scrape. These are the pictures I was sent. I haven't seen the bike yet as it is out of state. Very reputable dealer.
IS this frame scrape anything to be concerned with or does it look minor and just sand it and paint it?
Thanks all, here are the pics.

I've had two Softails and I scraped the hell out of both of them loading them on a ramp. I wouldn't worry at all about the scrapes as it isn't indicative of hard riding just poor loading. At one point, they sold some frame guards that stuck on your frame to prevent this. I sanded mine and brushed on some black paint.
Hard to tell w/those pics if the scrape is from loading/unloading mishap, or skid...you can always look for other signs too (e.g. bar/grip end, signals, pegs on same side...etc.). As far as price, what other options does the bike have (paint, options, accessories)? $7K is avg, but better if the bike's optioned out/up.
Price is pretty good and that looks like a speed bump or something to me. Just paint, can't see any dents/marring of the metal. Mine has em like that on both sides. They're low and will scrape here or there.
If I read that 1600 miles correctly then I am betting those marks damn near came with the bike new. Those look like a very common mistake that many, many of us have made. That comes from dragging the belly when loading it on a trailer.
You read that correctly, 1600 miles only. I will post some pics when I pick it up. It is just a standard FXSTBI as far as I know. . 7k for a new softail that looks like every other year softail? Yes, I will take it haha.
It has a quick disconnect windshield, which I will remove first thing. Back rest is about the only other thing from stock.
Good price for a bike with such low mileage. Frame scrapes like the ones pictured often happen when someone rides up/down a curb. I've seen much worse.
