I didn't realize you could go Radio Shack. That has to be a helluva lot cheaper than HD. Do you have a link to the Radio Shack siren you're referring to?
The only downside to the radio shack sirens are that the ones I've seen, do not have an internal battery. If someone pulls/cuts a battery cable, no siren....
The HD siren has a built-in battery that will sound for a while if power is cut.....

Let's face it; if somebody pulls the seat, and either disconnects the battery or cuts the wires the bike's likely gone anyway.
A battery initiated alarm will likely not deter a theft under those circumstances.
I have two of these RS alarms on my bike that I installed 4 years ago.
Since the installation I haven't even looked at them but when the bike moves if the key's not within 3' feet you're going to know it.
My 16 Fatboy S I have the factory security, lights flash etc but no sound. I bought the siren and followed the instructions and have searched and searched and no luck with my issue. I removed the splash guard for the rear tire and found the plastic area with the clips for the siren but cannot for the life of me find the wire and plug. The spot with the clips doesnt even have the hole in it where the plug would sit until needed for siren. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
