Default security system siren

i just got a 2005 Softail standard FXSTI, it has the factory Harley security system, i have the key fob, and it seems to work fine, it arms and disarms fine, light flash, but it has no "chirp" or siren, i have the owners manual and the service manual, but i can't seem to find much info on a siren or where to find it...
any help/info would be great...thanks

The siren is a separate purchase from the security system.

The link to above is a "plug-n-play" module but you can add your own siren for under $10.

I added two of the Radio Shack sirens in parallel and it when it goes off, dogs start barking and heads start turning.

Below is a link to a youtube video on how it install it.
Also you can google "radio shack siren on a harley" and get a number of hits.
I'm not sure where your plug is. On my Heritage it just forward of the rear wheel.

I had the siren on my last bike but not this one and I miss it. Not that it'll stop anyone from stealing it but I just want to know if someone's messing with it.

My bike has the siren. If you are in the area of your bike it will definitely let you know if someone is messing with your bike. Probably not going to deter a professional bike theft ring, but still worth having.

I guess what I like the most about the siren is that it tells me I turned the ignition off.

I've learned that if I don't hear a "chirp" I forgot to turn it off.

This saves me from coming out and finding the battery dead or even worst the bike stolen.

At less than $10 and about hour's worth of time to me it's a no-brainer install.

This is a link to the Radio Shack Siren install from awhile ago.
Hope this helps.
