My 12 Heritage had the tach display. When did the Heritage go to 6 speed and 103? Was it 2012 or 2011? I'm thinking that's the year the tach display was added. But it was useless really you'd have to spend too long waiting for it to roll past the display by which time you had already changed gears and kept your eyes off the road for too long.

The 6speed came in 2007. The 103 I think came in 2013 for softails. My 07 doesn't have a tach or gear indicator (except for the little "6" the lights up on the speed when you go into 6th gear. I've got a buddies 13 Fatbob in my garage and it has the gear indicator and tach in the read out.

My 09 has a gear indicator but no rpm indicator. So is the RPM indicator live so you could see the RPMs move as you accelerate or is it just a one-time display when you push the button?

I changed mine out to the combo Speedo/tach years ago.

My 2012 showed RPM in the digital odometer window. Now it shows this way.

A 103 engine was stock in my 2012 Heritage. It may have been stock in the 2011 police bikes but I am not positive of this.

Here is the analog speedometer tach for 2017. This is what I have on my 09 too.

Heritages from 2011 forward have a digital tach display that can be toggled up with odometer, 2 trip meters and a clock.
