Your bike is beautiful. You've done an excellent job with it.

My RKC has Duoglide emblems. It never occurred to me to try to match up the holes. I removed the studs from the back of the emblems and got a foot or so of double side tape from a local body shop. Get the stuff the pro shops use, it's what OEMs use to stick badges on these days.

Well, technically it is. It has two front shocks, and two rear
shocks (but ya can't see em)

But probl rides about the same.
Actually the susp on my two Shovel's wasn't all that
bad (considering the era- 1974 & 1984 models)
Better than my wobblin' tank slappin Kaw Z1, but not as
good as my Honda CBF900
Triumph . . . . whole 'nother story.

Well, the term "Duo Glide" simply meant suspension at both ends, so, technically it is.

I know for a fact that the Hydra-Glide fender badges don't line up with the holes in a Heritage fender. I tried already.

Actually, I like the newer style Deluxe badges. They're better than the script "Heritage Softail" badges I have now.

I never thought about that - but you're right.

Okay gang. Well, I received the new fender badges in the mail today. I bought the ones from V-twin and I have to say, I'm more impressed with the quality of these badges than I thought I'd be.

And, just like schlacker said...

And, that's just how it went down. Easy peasy. The only exception is that I used a small round file instead of the Dremel. I also used the Dremel with a cutoff wheel to remove the center stud from the emblem and used my shop sanded to clean up where I hacked off the pin.

Then I painted the holes with vivid black touchup so they're less likely to rust.

I'm very pleased with the way the fender turned out with the new badges in place. A huge shout out and THANKS to everyone for your help!!!
