I read that many of you like the 114 over the 107. I can understand more HP and torque being a plus for some.
So do most of you feel that the 107 is overall a stronger better motor than a 103?
Read that the trans shifts quieter as well. (plus)
Does a 114 create more heat than the 107? Fuel economy equal or less with a 114 on a typical 100 mile cruze?
I'm very happy with the power of my Stage 2 103......so hoping a 107 would be equal or better than the 103.
-can't help with 107 vs 114, haven't ridden a 107.
-M8's have substantially more HP and torque than twin cams at comparable build level. My Springer is a built 95" with cams and high compression heads. It eats Stage 2 103's. My new 114 feels stronger yet even with stock exhaust still in place. There are some really good dyno charts floating around.
-I can't detect any difference in the shifting. Still clunks like a farm tractor.
-My 114 runs warmer than my built Springer, but cooler than my Road King was. I will eventually get a richer tune and pipes and expect to have no temperature issues.
--My mileage has varied from 42 to 49 mpg. I'm riding it with the same style I used on the Road King where I ran from 35 to 38 mpg on the same roads. I get a pretty consistent 40 mpg on the Springer. Mileage is a win for the M8's.
You should test ride the 107 and the 114 before you decide. I'm very happy with my Heritage. My complaints? The speedo fogs more than my Road King used to, and passenger accommodation was better on the Road King. For me, there are lots more pluses, to each their own.

we took the trip down from Central NY to Tioga HD to get my wife's pre-owned 2024 Heritage(in the fall of 2024), damn fine bike, it was practically new when we bought it.
