93 FXSTS Speedometer Odometer Knob

93 FXSTS Speedometer Odometer ****
My 93 Softail Springer is missing the odometer ****. Its a Harley Davidson speedometer. The replacement **** has a small screw yet the small shaft on the side of the speedometer just has an open slot on the side. The center hole has no threads in it. Is this shaft missing another part of it that came off? Any help would be appreciated on this. The shaft coming from the speedo is less then a 1/2 inch. Any help will be appreciated.

It was when I first got the bike in 2000, the L ocal H og S hop had to order it in, don't recall what they called it but I call it the odomerter trip reset ****. some Harley dealers will take the time to look till they find it some don't. In 2000 the L>H>S> or Harley dealer in my town was happy to help today I go to Teds H.D. in Alton Il. about a 130 miles from home cause they work at helpin ya find what ya want.
