Default Air horn recommendation for 2017 Breakout please?

I found a lot of air horn all claiming to be the loudest - which one have you got on yours and do you swear by it?

The horns on the 2017 Breakout are located at the front so I'm thinking about getting air horn that is almost as obnoxious as train horn

Please give me a recommendation please !!!

Still have the stock horn on my '14 BO. Never used it during the last 3 riding seasons. That said the horn is the last thing I would worry about.

I feel quite differently about that. While I wouldn't say that I use the horn a lot, I definitely use it from time to time, and also coach my wife to be so practiced at hitting the horn button, that she doesn't even need to take the time to think about it. I don't how drivers are in Germany (I suspect that they are a lot better than here, based on having driven there), but it's really that bad around here.

OP, I got pretty good results from installing a Wolo airhorn (around 40 to 60 bucks) in the same place that the stock horn was mounted. I had to fabricate a bracket, but it was basically a piece of aluminum with two holes drilled in it, nothing at all complicated.

Check the DB level on your horn. Its either listed in the manual or can be found online... 2 or 3 years ago, HD boosted the output of the horns so they are louder. Some of the airhorns are not as loud as stock units.

DB levels are not reliable, since there are many different methods and distances used when measuring horns, rather than a standardized measurement.

I just bought a loud horn and put it on the left side of the engine where it belongs. Used a Kuryakin cover, looks good, loud as hell.

I went with this option, 2 horns for $20. Use either one to replace the stock horn. They are a bit larger but it's plug and play. I don't have a decibel meter but it's substantially louder. Note, I found the idea for this right here on this forum, didn't find it on my own.

I’m in the same boat, but when I needed it, it sounded like a battery in a hearing aid needing replacement! I’d like my horn to represent my thoughts at that moment.

Look up Denali sound bomb. I put the mini on my bike last summer. Not their loudest option but I wanted something louder than stock that fit under the stock horn cover and didn't need on modification to be mounted.
