Default Just bought first Harley. Hello

Just bought an '01 Deuce. Love it. Having an issue with the front brake, so I joined. Here is the issue:

When I squeeze the front brake, the front end will go up and down a bit, like it is not a smooth stop. Any thoughts on what this might be? I looked at the pads and they look fine from what I can tell. Could the rotor be warped or something? It looked like it has new tires so I'm wondering if something happened there.

Thanks for any help you can offer. Thanks for welcoming me and I look forward to posting here.

Hello from WA. I'm no wrench, but I'd check the brake fluid as well as get the front end in the air and spin 'er, watching that rotor for warping. My 2 cents.

Cool Newbe !!!

Welcome to the forums ...
you could have a couple problems ...that old of a bike ...first try bleeding all the old fluid out and see ...then need to check the run out of the rotor (if its warped or not) ...then you need to look at the caliper ...may be time for a rebuild ...
good luck ...!!!

Welcome from Central Wisconsin.
Are you an experienced wrench? If you aren't take it to someone who is.

Suspension, steering or brake failure, could be catastrophic on a bike. Not really a time for guesswork.

Thanks all for your input on my issue and the warm welcome to the forum. I looked up a video and it said it may be the bobbins are seized, so I may check that before considering a new rotor/disc or paying to take it in.
