Oil Filter Question
All you do extra is prepare, along with funnels, catch pans, paper towel, wrenches, etc. etc., as you normally do, containers of soapy water and rinse water for your reusable filter. A swish in each and set the filter aside till you've dealt with the other 2 holes and your filter components will be dry enough to reinstall. Trace moisture is totally inconsequential as it vaporizes away on your subsequent ride, as you no doubt know. It all amounts to a small change in organizing the process and adds virtually nothing to the time involved. Use light colored containers for the swishing and you readily see if there is anything nasty in amounts you need be concerned about.
Dunno if all this applies to the Pro Flo filters per se but in general the whining about "all the inconvenience" of permanent filter oil changes is being done by folks who haven't used em,,,,,, "obviously".
Main reason not to use em is cost.
Oh,,, and the nut on top of the billet aluminum case doesn't leak.
