Clunking noise when starting
Hello all. 2016 Softail Deluxe @ 8,000 miles. Runs great. However on a few occasions there has been a loud clunk or two when starting. It's happened only a handful of times. But today I stopped for gas and it happened @3 times, while restarting, and I thought it wouldn't start. It did. I put my battery tender on every 2-3 days. After getting home, bike sat for @2 hours, started right up. I feel it may have something to do with the bike being hot, stop for few minutes, then start again. I have looked around for this and have seen posts about possibly compensater issues. I will go by dealer, but I'm planning a Sacramento-Utah trip in @ 3 weeks and don't want any issues. Also don't know if this is a non issue. Sounds like one. Thoughts? Thanks. Also doesn't happen when shifting.
