Default Mechanical/Electrical problem

Hello all new member here in this forum. I have recently retired and bought a 2010 Heritage Softail Classic. I just had the 10,000 mile check up done as the bike only has 10.700 miles. I am very meticulous about my bike and cars and just had the Harley detailed. Here is my problem I am hoping someone can assist me with. This problem has only happened twice and it's pretty odd I've been riding for over 35 years and have not came across something like this it may be minor, hoping to god, or something more.

I was riding for a good hour or so then stopped for a bite and a beer which lasted another hour or so. Left that location drove another half an hour stopped for another hour then got back on the bike to travel home. On my way home the speedometer stopped working buried at 0 and about five minutes later the bike died and the oil, neutral light went on. I shut the bike down and restarted with no problems took off and the speedometer worked and went home. The same problem happened about two weeks later. The bike has no problem starting and no other lights come on. I have a few accessories that I haven't used yet but tested and they work, one is the phone charger and the other are speakers. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Turn the ignition switch off.
Make sure the run/stop switch is set to run.
Push the trip button in and hold.
Turn ignition switch on then release the trip button.
Should see the word "diag" in the odometer.
Hit the trip button and cycle through whatever codes appear.
Write them down and hit the internet.

That's a given. The diag codes should give you a place to start. If there are no codes, odds lean more towards a mechanical issue.

You're not quite there yet. Hold the trip on that P55PL6 for 2-3 seconds and see if anything else comes out.

Actually here, from my service manual:

Diagnostic Mode
1. To enter diagnostic mode, press and hold the trip odometer
reset switch located on the left handlebar controls, while
turning the IGN ON.
NOTE
The trip odometer reset switch is located in the left hand control
module. The switch signal is sent to the speedometer over the
CAN bus. Any CAN bus issues may interrupt odometer selfdiagnostics.
2. Release the trip odometer reset switch. "diag" will appear
on the odometer display.
3. Press and release the trip odometer reset switch. ECM
will appear on the odometer display. It will have either a
"Y" or an "N" after it, depending if there are any ECM
codes or not.
4. Quickly press and release the trip odometer reset switch
to cycle through the modules. The modules include the
BCM, SPDO and ABS.
5. Once the desired module is displayed, press and hold the
trip odometer reset switch.
6. If any DTCs are stored in the module, the odometer will
display the DTC. Quickly pressing and releasing the trip
odometer reset switch will cycle through the stored DTCs.
7. When all the DTCs have been cycled the odometer will
display "end".
8. To clear all the DTCs in that module press and hold the
trip odometer reset switch, while a DTC is displayed. If
DTCs are not to be cleared quickly press and release the
trip odometer reset switch. The part number of the module
will be displayed.
9. Press and release the trip odometer reset switch again to
continue to the next module.
10. Make note of all DTCs. Clear all the DTCs and operate
the vehicle to verify DTCs set and are current. Historic
DTCs are not to be diagnosed unless the condition is
reoccurring and intermittent.
11. Turn the IGN OFF to exit diagnostic mode. If IGN is not
turned off, vehicle will exit diagnostics mode when vehicle
starts moving.

You guys are the best finally I did everything right and I got codes P1353 and P1356. Front and rear cylinder combustion. I had a 10,000 mile check up done at the dealer I just called them and they said they do replace the plugs but not the wires and to bring the bike in. Hope they do the right thing and don't try to stick it in my ***.

The bike dieing would explain the oil light but not the neutral light coming on.
