Yea, but as my father used to say, "getting old isn't for pussies," either.
Neither is degenerative and rheumatoid arthritis, torn muscles, nerve damage and a few old wounds that can hamper riding and being able to move an almost 800 pound motorcycle around the garage.
But if I do choose to rage against the dying of the light and defile myself by riding a trike it won't be a bloated factory Tri-glide. It'll be more along the lines of this:
Anyway, good luck TF. Lemme know what you decide to fill in the space with. It won't be long before I'll be looking for ideas.
Two years ago I felt the end was coming, so I traded the dyna for a freewheeler. It's a nice ride, but it's not two wheels. Last year I added the WG in the sig pic. That's my 'Terrorize the Locals' bike, and the free is for longer days when I won't have to worry about holding a bike up when I'm dead tired.
Sounds like the ideal solution, but...
This year I find myself making stupid mistakes that I know better. And I seem to be shorter of temper, and more impulsive to do dumbass moves. And the reflexes don't seem as good. Just getting old, and harder to stay sharp. Not much of a problem in a car, but will get you killed on a bike.
So I've been giving it some thought. Thinking maybe selling the Harleys and getting a T bucket hot rod or a deuce coupe. Or maybe I'll just pay a hooker to screw me to death...
I have "0" interest in trikes, built in either direction.
To each their own, I have 0 interest in riding a barco-lounger into the sunset, so when the time comes that I have trouble with balance, if I live that long, I will be on a badass trike.
We start life on a trike, and we end life on a trike.
