Has anyone here have opinions regarding the various speakers, amplifiers and etc.. for using with an MP3 player or XM type radio? I have seen some advertised that clamp to your bars. Right now I am using an MP3 player and ear buds and am not really happy.
I took my 2 wheel tunes out for it's first ride today. Worked great up to about 55 mph and then it was hard to tell what song was playing. I have V&H 2 into 1 Pro-Pipes with the quiet baffles. It's louder than stock, but not loud enough to trigger the LEOs. Around town, it worked great with an iPod Nano. Forget a long ride on the highway though.

I installed the same system last week. I got the Hiway Acoustical Grills (additional $100) which they reportedly 30% louder.Sounds ok at 65 mph. All-in-all, I'm happy with the system. We'll see how well they hold up. Eastern Performance sells the system about $130cheaper the 2 Wheel Tunes web site.
"Thread Hijack alert"
Where did you get "quiet baffles" for the pro-pipe? I called V&H and all they make is a "standard" baffle for the 2 &1 Pipe....??

Check out Uniq Cycle Sounds. They have an amp and speakers that'll work with your mp3 or iPod. We use the latter, and it works great.
I agree about the music question posted above, but momma really likes it!
When I want to listen to music on the bike I wear a full face helmet that I have put headphones in under the lining and routed the cable out of the bottom of the helmet. I can hear on the freeway at 90 if I want to go that fast fine. IMO half helmet with music isn't really worth it. I have to have it so loud that I am afraid I will go deaf, and the funny thing is I like my muisc LOUD...
Maybe I'll take some pics of the in helmet speaker system when I get bored. Wanna see it?
