While I am here, I am just curious if you can hear the speakers on a Street Glide, the reason I am asking is, I have to crank my ipod volume almost all the way up in order to listen to my music. I have a 3/4 helmet but still, exhaust is too loud.
I wanted to be able to listen to some music occasionally. \\; A friend has J&\\;M speakers mounted in his helmet and seems happy. \\; I bought some "loud" speakers on ebay and put them in a full face. \\; Not loud enough. \\; Bought a headphone amplifier at Radio Shack. \\; Then I had twice as many batteries and devices for a poor sounding system. \\; You need to put padding behind the speakers to get them right up against your ear to get decent performance from them which added to the claustrophobia.
I heard of Razer M100 earbuds on the forum and bought a pair. \\; That with no amplifier and my mp3 player (not ipod, but a unit that I can actually manipulate with gloved fingers while it sits in my pocket) and it sounds good with the half helmet or the horrible full face helmet. \\; The M-100s are not noise-cancelling, but do seal up my ear and do keep out some wind and road noise.
In Washington state, it is illegal to wear earbuds, but speakers mounted in a helmet are fine.
some people have the j&\\;\\\\\\;n speakers that are in the advertisement at top of the forum and they really like them the one does use the zumo for that \\;\\\\\\;
 \\;\\\\\\;
I did a search on the \\;\\\\\\; j&\\;\\\\\\;n speakers and came up empty? Anymore specifics on the name?
 \\;\\\\\\;
thnx
