Many states it is not legal. I want to hear only my bike while riding. Even tho i am a music freak. I ride to escapeTv,and other stuff. Plus. is it safe to wear headphones ..My opinion - it is not safe at all. Just my 2 cents on this topic. Differents strokes ...........

if your into putting something on your handlebars the garmin zimo 550 gps has satelite navigation capablility satelite radio option and has a slot for memory cards for playing mp3s use it on my ultra but not on other bikes. also it has blue tooth so you can hear music and if you wanted to answer the phone..

A couple questions...Stupid?....Is it illegal to listen to my ipod while riding the bike? I know it's illegal to drive and listen.....second, It helps alot if i wear a knit hat in the gym over my earbuds...it keeps the buds in my ears and keeps the volume loud enough.
