have a set of older progressive shocks that I want to use on this build - Ultima frame - the shock bolts do not draw up tight to the bushings - there is about 1/8" space - the bushing seem to be nylon or urethane - not rubber - there are no sleeves either - I am not comfortable setting this up like this - any help appreciated

 

I would start by calling Progressive, Their customer service has been great to me so far.

 

no numbers on them - since I have never owned a bike newer than 1981 - I dont even know if the OEM shocks pinch or float on the bolt shoulders - can anyone tell me if the stock shock bushing are tight against the washers? I dont even know if the 86-99 bolts are the same as the 00-up bolts in terms of shoulder length - the manual says nothing - and I have nothing to look at for comparison and no experience with softails

 

they are 413 series - WB4034G is the progressive stock number - sold in the early 90's - lower the bike 1" - looks like I will need a bushing kit
